We work on gardens all year round, so there’s no bad time to start planning. That said, spring and autumn are often ideal for major landscaping – the weather is mild and it’s great for establishing new plants. Winter projects are absolutely possible too but very harsh weather might cause minor delays.

Whats the best time of year to turf my garden in Surrey
The optimal times to lay turf in Surrey—and across the UK—are early autumn (September to October) and early spring (March to April). These periods offer mild temperatures and consistent rainfall, which help new turf establish strong roots without the stress of extreme heat or drought.
Which areas do you cover?
Urban Landscapes primarily serves West London and Surrey. We have many clients in areas like Richmond, Kingston, Twickenham, Wimbledon, and throughout Surrey (for example, Cobham, Esher, Ascot, and more).
